Catalina believes therapy is an opportunity to deepen one's understanding of oneself and foster more meaningful connections with others. She views the therapeutic relationship as a uniquely healing space where clients can feel seen, understood, and supported as they work toward lasting change. Her approach is integrative, grounded primarily in psychodynamic and attachment-based perspectives, while incorporating evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when appropriate. Catalina values patience, collaboration, and meeting clients where they are, recognizing that meaningful growth often takes time.

Catalina earned her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP). She completed her APA-accredited internship at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and has worked in a variety of settings, including a crisis center, substance use rehabilitation center, high school counseling center, and college counseling center. Growing up in a multicultural household in San Diego, California, Catalina is committed to practicing with cultural humility and welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults experiencing interpersonal and relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem and self-worth concerns, and challenges related to identity and personal growth.
