Dr. Milnes completed her Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from the University at Albany, State University of New York in 2011. She went on to complete her internship and fellowship at Munroe-Meyer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where she stayed on as a Licensed Psychologist, Assistant Faculty Member, and Training Director for the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders and supporting programs. In 2017, she joined Boys Town Behavioral Health as a Supervising Psychologist and eventually the Director of Training and Co-associate Director of the Nebraska Internship Consortium in Professional Psychology. Dr. Milnes has dedicated most of her career to providing evidenced-based therapy services to individuals struggling with a variety of complex behavioral and emotional concerns.
Dr. Milnes areas of interest include, but are not limited to: oppositional and defiant behavior, fears, anxiety, low mood, tics and habits, impulse control difficulties, ADHD, pediatric feeding/eating concerns, sleep, adjustment difficulties, parenting struggles, and family conflict.
Dr. Milnes works with children, adolescents, and adults. When working with children/adolescents, Dr. Milnes regularly involves parents/caregivers and other important support individuals in the child’s/adolescent’s life. This approach results in faster progress and better outcomes. When working with all individuals, her mission is to help her clients build upon their strengths, achieve their goals, and obtain greater well-being.
Dr. Milnes is accepting referrals for children (birth-12), adolescents (13-19), and adults (19+).
